2025-2026 Liberty High School Senior PTSO Scholarship Guidelines
The Liberty High School PTSO (Parent/Teacher/Student Organization) offers four $500 scholarships to LHS graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling in an accredited college, university, or technical institute in the next school year 2025-2026 immediately following applicant’s high school graduation. Through our scholarship program, the PTSO works to support students who are focused on achieving life and career goals through higher education. The scholarship may be used toward tuition, room and board, fees, or books. Scholarships are awarded as a one-time, non-renewable award payable to the student.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Liberty High School Class of 2026.
- Applicant must be a member of and in good standing with the Liberty High School PTSO.
- Seniors must be a registered member for at least two years, one of which must be their Senior Year and renewed their membership by Feburuary 06, 2026
- Seniors new to LHS this year must have joined by February,06
- Applicant must be enrolling in an accredited college or university or a technical institute in the school year immediately following high school graduation.
- Applicant may not have an immediate family member on the Liberty High School PTSO Scholarship Committee.
- Applicant must return the completed application packet to bobbit@comcast.net by 3:00 p.m. FRIDAY May 01, 2026. The emailed Recommendation Letter must also be received by 3:00 p.m. Friday May 01, 2026. Late entries will be disqualified.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
In order to qualify, the applicant must complete the entire application packet which includes:
- Completed application answering all five questions.
- A one-page resume listing school activities (including fine arts, sports/athletics), service/volunteer organizations and community involvement, special recognitions and awards the applicant received in high school. Also, list any work experience during the high school years.
- Official high school transcript emailed to bobbit@comcast.net.
- Students can stop by the school counseling office OR within Naviance, students can “Manage Transcripts” by adding a request for “Other Transcript” noting that it is for a scholarship.
- 1 recommendation letter which must be from a LHS Teacher/Faculty Member, Coach of LHS or Rec Coach, unrelated adult, mentor, outside instructor, a community leader or employer. The person providing the recommendation must email the recommendation letter directly to bobbit@comcast.net.
- Copy of acceptance letter to accredited college, university, or technical institute for the applicant. If the school does not provide an acceptance letter, please provide the letter/statement of intent naming the college or trade school that you will attend. This statement must be signed by the student and parent or guardian.
REMINDER: The applicant must provide the following in ONE email:
- The Application form including their responses to Questionnaire
- Their Resume
- Copy of Acceptance letter
SELECTION AND DISBURSEMENT
- The LHS PTSO Scholarship Committee will carefully read all completed applications. Once reviewed, the recipients will be selected to receive the scholarship award. The results will be announced, and checks awarded, at the LHS Community Awards Ceremony.
- All applications submitted to the LHS PTSO become the property of the LHS PTSO and will not be returned to applicants. All decisions of the LHS PTSO Scholarship Committee are final.

RECOMMENDATION LETTER INSTRUCTIONS
Please send the note below to the person providing your recommendation letter. This will help guide them in drafting their recommendation, as well as ensure that they are aware of the deadline.
Qualities that the LHS PTSO Scholarship Committee are looking for include responsibility, respect, honesty, attitude, work ethic, etc. If you can please comment on any or all of these traits, it would greatly aid the PTSO in awarding these scholarships to the most qualified applicants.
